In December 2023, Galerie Jos Depypere curated its annual Winter Exhibition, showcasing a captivating array of artworks from a distinguished lineup of artists. The exhibition featured new and compelling pieces by artists such as Giampaolo Amoruso, Laurent Dierckx, C. Leg, and other talents.
Christian Silvain's 50-Year Retrospective: A Journey Through Time and Style
September, 2023
The culmination of the retrospective “Flying Dreams” in September was marked by a significant legal victory against Chinese artist Ye Yongqing, who had replicated Silvain’s works, revealing the indomitable spirit of originality in the art world.
During his 50-year career, Silvain has participated in over 450 exhibitions worldwide, and with around 80 works, he is represented in international museums in Europe, the United States, and now also in China. With the rightful recognition of his original artworks and the successful completion of the plagiarism lawsuit against Ye Yongqing, a promising future opens up for Christian Silvain.

Pop-up Ghent with Dominique Samyn & Laurent Dierckx

In May 2023 Galerie Jos Depypere opened its pop-up gallery in Ghent, Belgium for two months. Our first exhibition was dedicated to Dominique Samyn’s encaustic artworks. The second exhibtion was dedicated to Laurent Dierckx’s colourful art.
Dominique Samyn's Return to Belgium: Painting Off the Grid in New Mexico
Dominique Samyn’s life, spent traversing the globe, took a unique turn when she decided to live “off the grid” in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her artistic expressions, captured through the encaustic painting technique, encapsulate the breathtaking landscapes she witnessed from her studio.
Samyn’s return to Belgium in 2021 marked a new chapter in her artistic journey, where the natural beauty of her surroundings continues to inspire her works exhibited at Galerie Jos Depypere’s pop-up gallery in Gent.
